Gail Lenmore Williams' Obituary
Gail Lenmore Williams, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, in Leesville, Louisiana. Born on May 4, 1947, in Oak Grove, Louisiana, Gail embodies strength, resilience, and love. He was 78 years old at the time of his passing.
Gail was preceded in death by his devoted parents, David Williams and Ruth Dupree. His grandson, Destin Wallace, and great-granddaughter, Mallory Williams.
He leaves behind a large family that includes his beloved daughter, Miranda Whitaker, and her husband, Edward of Leesville, Louisiana. Gail's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Donald Williams and his fiancée Autumn, Alexandria Whitaker, Ryan Whitaker, Kortnee Whitaker and her fiancé Brennan, and Levi Whitaker and his spouse Jordan. He was also a proud great-grandfather to four beautiful children: Rayleigh, Zayden, Izzy, and Kylen, who brought immense joy to his life. He also leaves behind his fur grandbaby Ollie.
Known for his cowboy spirit, Gail was tough as a leather boot and carried an unwavering love for his family. He was the kind of man who would do anything for those he cherished, always putting family first. His kind-heartedness and generous nature made him a cherished figure in the lives of those around him.
Gail had a variety of interests that showcased his vibrant personality. He loved to play golf and pool, enjoying every moment spent on the course and the camaraderie of the game. Horseback riding was among his favorite pastimes, reflecting his deep connection to the outdoors and his roots as a true cowboy. Fishing also held a special place in his heart, as he found peace and tranquility in nature.
As friends and family gather to celebrate Gail's life, they will remember him for his strength and tenacity, warmth, and unwavering support. He will be missed dearly by a host of brothers and sisters from Oak Grove, Louisiana, who shared countless memories and moments of joy with him.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
A Graveside service will be held in his honor on May 12, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at Central Louisiana Veteran Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
Gail Lenmore Williams touched many hearts, and his memory will live on through the love he shared with his family and friends.
