Freddie "Fred" Rogers' Obituary
Funeral services for Freddie “Fred” Rogers will be Monday, August 28, 2017, at 2:00 at Canaan Baptist Church in Leesville with Rev. Morris Goins and Rev. Maurice Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Canaan Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
Freddie, the son of B.C. Rogers and Gretchen McCombs Rogers, was born March 28, 1941, in Booneville, Mississippi. He passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017, at his residence.
He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church.
Fred served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war and later retired from Civil Service at Fort Polk. He also owned a Mobil Station in Leesville for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Sammie Rogers of Leesville; two sons, Freddie Shawn Rogers and wife, Stacy of DeRidder and Robert Shane Rogers of Leesville; six grandchildren, Meagan Breianne Dearmon and husband, Rayburn, Ian Hunter Rogers, Cameron Seth Rogers, Kacee Devin Woodard and husband Jamie, Olivia Rose Rogers and and Kaleb Neal Rogers; two Great Grandchildren, Hayden Avery Dearmon and Adeline Grey Dearmon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Awana or Youth programs at Canaan Baptist Church.
