Franklin Delano Fox of DeRidder passed from this earthly life on November 19, 2018 at the age of 86. He was born June 26, 1933 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Charles and Inez Pharr Fox.
Frank served in the United States Army Secret Intelligence Service for twelve years. He went on from there to obtain a degree in education, graduating top of his class and soon after became a Professor of Mathematics at the Arkadelphia Teachers College in Arkansas. He enjoyed teaching and would often speak of his experience as an educator.
Frank married the love of his life, Peggy, June 19, 1987 where he also gained two precious children whom he loved just as his own and it showed in everything he did. He became a successful business owner over the next 22 years, teaching both Jennifer and Michael how to operate businesses in which they took over in 2000 when he first became ill. He was his childrens greatest teacher and mentor. He loved the Lord and always put him first in front of his family and businesses.
Frank enjoyed nature, traveling and cooking. He had several specialty dishes and when he told you he was cooking those dishes, you showed up because you knew it was going to be good. He also had a love of music. He enjoyed hearing his son, Michael play the trombone and would always smile with great joy at how well he played. He also loved to listen to his granddaughter, Brittany sing to him saying, that she can really sing. He always held intellectual and sometimes challenging intellectual debates with his daughter, Jennifer and grandson, Christopher.
Mr. Fox had special nicknames for all his smaller grandchildren which would bring big smiles when he’d say them. He loved going on walks with his grandson Isaac. His great grandson, William would always brighten his days. He’d say, look at those blue eyes everytime William would look up at him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son; Charles Fox, one brother; Alfred Fox.
Left to cherish his wonderful memory are his wife of 32 years, Peggy Fox, daughter; Jennifer and Timothy Yates, son; Michael and Elizabeth Fox, six grandchildren; Christopher, Brittany, Alison, Shaun, Katharine and Isaac; one great-grandson William and several friends.
