Frankie was born on January 5, 1947 to his parents, Emmit & Faye Smith. He passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 in Alexandria.
Frankie was the hardest working man we knew at the age of 17, he started his oilfield career. During that time he held many positions, crane operator, assistant driller and he ended his career as a supervisor over rig maintenance crew. After his oilfield career of 35 + years, he began working for Turnage Environmental. He was one of the company’s most dependable, hardworking, entertaining employee. He was a jokester who loved his family with his whole heart. His hobbies were taking care of his cows, hunting, fishing, working with his tractor, sitting on his front porch, loved to play cards, checkers, dominos and pass the time and one of his favorite hobbies was visiting the casino playing black jack.
He loved spending time with his family and loved them with his whole heart. He was a fighter and it would always bring a smile to his face when he was told by his daughters to fight like a girl. To know him was to love him.
