Frankie I Laurence's Obituary
Funeral services for Frankie I. Laurence will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Toledo Bend Baptist Church in Anacoco with Bro. Lynn Laurence and Bro. David Martinez officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 13th from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and resume on Tuesday, September 14th from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church.
Mr. Laurence was born on February 23, 1933 in Anacoco to his parents, Davis P. & Daisy Prewitt Laurence. He entered into Heaven on Friday, September 10, 2021 at his home in Florien.
He served as a pastor in New Iberia and Westlake, and supplied for many churches in Louisiana. He worked for 26 years for PPG in instrumentation. He served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1955. He loved to sing and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Mr. Laurence is preceded in death by his parents, Davis P. & Daisy Prewitt Laurence; his first wife, Jackie Laurence; his second wife, Janice Ford Laurence; one brother, Ercell Laurence; and one son, Billy F. Laurence.
Left to cherish his memory is his son and daughter in law: Lynn & Beth Laurence of Anacoco, LA; one sister and brother in law: Dianne & Don Stokes of Anacoco, LA.
The family of Mr. Laurence would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Turner and Dr. Anna Landry and their staff, and to the staff of Hospice of Leesville, for their wonderful care.
The family humbly asks for those who will be attending the services, to please wear a mask while inside the church.
