Francis Wayne Cleveland's Obituary
Funeral services for Francis Wayne Cleveland will be held Saturday January 30th at 2 pm in the Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Hicks, with Rev. Dale Poe and Rev. Sherman Busby officiating. Burial will be at the Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. Friday until service time Saturday at the church. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Francis Wayne was born to Francis and Ardillie Gordy Cleveland on October 12, 1948 in Pineville, LA. He passed away Wednesday, January 28th in Alexandria, LA.
He worked at Fort Polk for 41 years and retired as an ASP Supervisor. He was the first Fire Chief of the LaCamp Volunteer Fire Department and also the president of the Scott Cemetery. He loved the hunt and fish especially squirrel hunting with his partner “Cheyanne” his squirrel dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents: son, Kenneth and Douglas Brossett and his brother Jackie Earl Cleveland.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Roxie Cleveland; sons, Mike Cleveland and Charles Brossett all of LaCamp; daughters, Tanna Biscamp of LaCamp, Ruby Thompson of Leesville and Michele Brossett of Pineville; Anthony Setliff grandson raised as son; 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
