Frances Cooper's Obituary
Frances Cooper, 87, of Prentiss, Mississippi, passed from this life on Friday, October 3, 2014, in Celina, Texas.
She is survived by her son, Ralph Gore Cooper Jr. of Dallas, Texas; daughter Elisa Lynch and her husband, Pat Lynch, of Prosper, Texas; and daughter Karen Olmsted and her husband, Daniel Olmsted, of Mandeville, Louisiana. Frances was known as “MeeMaw” to her seven grandchildren, Zachary Cooper; Jordan Cooper; Chase Lynch and his wife, Christine Lynch; Cody Lynch; Kylie Lynch; Shari Olmsted; and Cassie Olmsted; and to great-grandson Dylan Lynch. Frances is also survived by one brother, Crawford Price, of Doniphan, Missouri.
Frances was a military wife and married to Ralph Gore Cooper until his death in 1981. The couple retired in Leesville after completion of two tours at Fort Polk. Frances taught fourth grade at West Leesville Elementary for seventeen years and attended the First United Methodist Church, where she was very active. She enjoyed cooking and tending her flowerbeds and houseplants; however, her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends. Everyone who knew and loved her, remembers the smiles, the warmth and the love she expressed to everyone she met. She was and is an angel in every sense of the word and will be missed very much.
Graveside services for Sarah Frances Price Cooper will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Louisiana Lions Camp for Crippled Children or the National Alzheimer’s Association.
