A Graveside service for Floyd Earl Smith, Sr., 89, of Pitkin, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 11, 2014, at Lone Star Cemetery, Pitkin, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. Mr. Smith passed from this life on Sunday, August 10, 2014, in Rosepine, LA.
Floyd was born on Saturday, March 28, 1925, to Adam and Ella Hartman Smith in Nunez, LA. He proudly served in the United States Merchant Marines. He was also a member of the Lone Star Baptist Church in Pitkin, LA.
He is survived by 1 son, Floyd Smith, Jr. of Edmonds, WA; 1 daughter, Patricia G. Jansen of WA.
