As we announce that our precious Florence Elizabeth is now safely held in the arms of our Heavenly Father, we find our hearts and our family to be incomplete and missing her presence in our lives. “Lizzie” changed our lives far before she was ever born and we are all better for having got to spend the time that we did with her. Her testimony in less than 2 short years is one of strength and resilience, and her life was an ongoing series of miracles that we were blessed to witness first hand. She was named after her great grandmothers who were very strong women and she earned her title as a fighter the day she took her first breath. She never spoke a word and yet her testimony was so powerful that no words could ever be quite enough. We are so proud that God chose our family to be blessed by our precious “Lizzie” and to see her touch the lives of everyone who heard her name and followed her journey. We know that here on earth our family will never be complete with her physical presence, but we will forever have her in our hearts until we join her in eternity.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving parents, Ronnie and Tessa Simmons; siblings, Courtlyn Simmons, Grayson Simmons, Ryland Simmons, and Wyatt Simmons; grandparents, Craig and Sheila Simmons and George and Opal Graham; great-grandparents, Charles and Betty Graham; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Gennive Simmons, Ray and Betty Dickens, and Earl and Florence Pate.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Randy Simmons, Mason Cloud, Brody Jackson, and Scott Gill.
Those honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Grayson Simmons, Ryland Simmons, and Wyatt Simmons.
