Fletcher C. Potter's Obituary
Fletcher C. Potter, of Leesville passed away on July, 10, 2017 in Houston, Texas. Fletcher was born on February 23, 1923 in Eustace, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Lee Potter, granddaughters, Kimberly Garman, Kristen Cole, and Melissa Potter, brother-in-law, Lynn Lee, his ten brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son, Bruce Potter and his wife Melanie, daughter, Terry Potter, grandchildren, Eddy Roberts and wife Shanti Conlan, Michael Roberts, Beth Stephens and husband Will Whitehead, great grandchildren, Joshua Poser, Noah Roberts, Caitlyn Roberts, Ava Whitehead, sister-in-law, Joy Lee and a host of nieces and nephews.
Fletcher was a former resident of Buckner Orphan’s home. He served as a Deacon at Pine Hill Baptist Church and served in the Army Air Corps as a Medic. He retired from Civil Service as an Electrician from the Engineering Department of Fort Polk and Veterans Hospital. Being a proud Veteran of World War II, he willingly shared stories of his experiences during his Military Service. He loved and helped many people in their times of need and enjoyed serving his community. He had many friends and will truly be missed.
Funeral services for Fletcher C. Potter, Leesville will be held Friday, July, 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Pine Hill Baptist Church, Leesville, with Rev. Tri Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Baptist Church, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 13, 2017, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
