Faye Ellen's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Faye Ellen (Eason) Smith, 81 of Evans, LA, will be held at 2 P.M., Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Evans Congregational Methodist Church, Evans, LA, with Rev. Phillip Jarrell & Rev. Melvin Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Evans Community Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 4, 2012, 4:00 PM until the time of the service on Sunday at the church in Evans.
Faye was born on November 23, 1930, to Louise Hendrix Eason & Julian Marion Eason at Fisher, LA. She had resided in Evans, LA for the past 50 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Evans Congregational Methodist Church. Faye enjoyed family, church, cooking & helping others. Mrs. Smith passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012, in Rosepine, LA.
Survivors include her son,
David Smith and wife Teresa of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Barbara Sue Smith of Evans, LA; sister, Marjoire Bartlett of Blanchard, LA; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and numerous special great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wayne Smith of Evans, LA.
