Everette “Buddy” Othell Nichols entered peacefully into rest on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the age of 85 years, 7 months and 8 days, at the Rosepine Retirement. Everette was born on Wednesday, June 17, 1936 in DeRidder, LA Buster Earnest Nichols and Lexie Blackman Nichols.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home, 2110 Hwy 171, DeRidder, LA. Graveside service and Interment will be at Beauregard Cemetery, 1201 East First Street, DeRidder, Louisiana on Thursday, January 27, 2022, with Rev. George Lee Glass, Pastor of Grace Church officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Everette served our country in the United States Army. He was an accountant until retirement. He loved to help people and had a giving spirit.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister Sharon Dotson and husband Ronald of DeRidder, LA; and nieces and nephews Taska Sigler Wisby, Eddy “Drake” Sigler, Lathan Sigler, Cody Sigler, Brenda McCain Crow, Alton McCain, “Joe” McCain, Tia Croker and Frederick Wisby.
Preceded in death by his parents Buster Ernest Nichols and Lexie Nichols; and sister Audrey Fay McCain.
