Everett Scott Rogers' Obituary
A celebration of life for a loving husband, father and grandfather, Everett Scott Rogers (Scotty), 78 of Ragley, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, in the First Baptist Church in Longville. Rev. Charles Winstead and Rev. Stuart Graves will officiate. Nursery will be provided during the funeral for children 5 and under.
Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will be held from 9:00a.m. until service time Saturday in the First Baptist Church, Longville.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Porter Rosco and Eva Scott Rogers, sisters Dorothy Maynor and Elizabeth Eggelston, and brother John P. Rogers.
He was called home to be with his heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at his residence in Ragley. He will be forever in our hearts. We are so proud and thankful for the testimony and legacy he leaves behind.
He is leaving behind his loving wife, Doris Yvonne Rogers of 55 years and three children, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren: son, Joel Scott Rogers and his wife Jill Rogers, their children, Logan Scott Rogers and daughter, Amanda Marie Richard, her husband, Jeremy Richard and their children Kelli Ann, Balin Kenneth and Sawyer Scott Richard. Son, Michael Spencer Rogers and his wife Dianthe Rogers and their children, Broddie Scott Rogers, his wife LeeAnn Rogers and their children Evalee Elizabeth and Coy Everett Rogers, son Morgan Spencer Rogers his wife Sarah Rogers and their daughter, Quinn Francis Rogers. Daughter, Lynda Sue Cormier and his only surviving sibling, Georgia (Joy) Brown.
