Eugene "Gene" Beavers' Obituary
Funeral services for Eugene “Gene” Beavers, 79, of Anacoco, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2010, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with the Revs. Donald Spears and Greg Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, LA under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 29, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home, and again Monday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Gene, the son of Fred and Mattie Horner Beavers, was born June 19, 1931 in Indiana. He passed away Friday, August 27, 2010, at his residence in Anacoco, Louisiana. Gene, a veteran of the Korean War, worked for the United States Civil Service as a utility foreman.
He is survived by his son, Donald Beavers and his wife, Marla, of Anacoco, seven sisters, Pearl Wright, Mildred Gilley, Chloe Walker, Lu Wolka, Mary Foster, and Frances Daulton, all of Indiana, and Ruth Silberman of Florida, two grandchildren, Brian Beavers of Nacogdoches, Texas and Kelli Beavers of Anacoco. He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Beavers, and one daughter, Dona Beavers, four brothers, Thurman Beavers, Edmond Beavers, Curtis Beavers, and Tommy Beavers, all from Indiana.
