Etta Caroline Warburton McPherson's Obituary
Etta Caroline Warburton McPherson of Garland, Texas passed from this life at her home on April 24, 2014 at the age of 92. She was born in Cowley County, Kansas to Clifford E. Warburton and Lora A. Meadows Warburton on April 7, 1922. She was married to Jack Kay McPherson on June 29, 1948.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Rose L. Grantham, Ardith E. Grantham Miller and Cecile E. Warburton McPherson; her brothers, Robert B. Grantham Jr., Joseph F. Miller; and her daughter Kathy C. McPherson.
Carol is survived by her husband, Jack and her children, Thomas I. Coffman Jr. and wife, Terry A. McPherson and Candy K. Finley and husband, nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, her brother Rex B. Grantham and her sister Bonnie K. Grantham Patterson along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to everyone she met. She led a full life that included caring for her family and those she adopted as family along the way. She would spend countless hours baking, sewing, crocheting, gardening and looking after whatever “pets” she had adopted under her care at any given time. She would share anything she had to offer with you and never met a stranger. She lived in numerous places across the United States and overseas. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved forever for her many contributions to our lives.
A service will be held at Labby Memorial Funeral Home, 601 South Fourth Street
Leesville, Louisiana 71446 on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Charles Groce officiating. Interment will be held after the service at Beckom Cemetery in Hornbeck, Louisiana under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
The family will receive friends at Labby Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29, 2014.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Finley, Harold Bassett, TJ McPherson, Thomas Coffman III, Ben Finley and Cameron Droste.
