Etta Lena Ford Chevallier's Obituary
Funeral services for Etta Lena Ford Chevallier, 91, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in the Toro Community with Rev. Kendal Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon – until time of service, Tuesday, September 25th, at the church.
Etta, the daughter of Lewis Edward and Lydia Reeves Windham was born June 12, 1921, in Jena, LA. She passed away Saturday, September 22nd, in Leesville, LA.
Mrs. Etta was a native of the Belah Community outside of Jena. She moved to Leesville in 2005. She was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in the Toro Community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVelle Ford; sister, Dottie Price and grandson, Leonard Evans.
She is survived by her son, Jerry LaVelle Ford & wife Shelia of Houston, TX; daughters, Sharon Evans and husband, Jimmy of Leesville, LA and Dottie “Dianne” Anderson & husband, M.J. of Trinity, TX; brother, Earl Windham of Jena, LA; grandchildren, Jimmy Evans, Jr., FeLisha Evans, Edgar Evans, Murphy Anderson, Amanda Ford and Jeremy Ford; nine great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
