Ethel Lee "Ms. Ethel" Dauzat's Obituary
Ethel Lee Dauzat “Ms. Ethel” the daughter of J.P. and Ada Vidrine Fontenot was born January 8, 1938, in Ville Platte, LA. She passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015.
Mrs. Dauzat enjoyed substituting at East Leesville Elementary School. She and her husband Joe owned and operated Dauzat's Exotic Bird Farm. She was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her children always came first. She loved to dance and sing and was an awesome story teller. Her sense of humor was contagious. Mrs. Dauzat had a loving heart and opened it to everyone.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Joseph Dauzat of Leesville; Children: Carliss Crowley and husband Brian of Seattle, WA, Joey Dauzat & wife, Betty of OK, Craig Dauzat & wife Annette of AL, Bruce Dauzat of Leesville and Todd Dauzat of Leesville; Sisters: Margaret Sonnier of DeRidder, Eva Bertha Bissonette of AR, and Emma Joy Falgout of Destrehan, LA; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
There will be a private family burial at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research.
