Ethel May Mortensen's Obituary
Graveside services for Ethel May Mortensen, 97, of Leesville, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 23, 2021, in the Walnut Hill Cemetery of Leesville with Rev. Tony Warren & Rev. Jon Welch officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 1:00 P.M until time of service at the cemetery.
Ethel was born on December 23, 1923, in Barronette, Wisconsin, to her parents Edward & Martha Grensing Larson. She passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021, in Leesville.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a woman of prayer and a warrior for Jesus Christ. She has fought a good fight; she has finished her race and kept her faith. She is now receiving the reward that she spent a lifetime working to receive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and one grandson, Brady Cole Mortensen.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Dale & Jane Mortensen of Leesville, Roger & Sheryl Mortensen of Wisconsin, Janine & Eugene Dent of Missouri, Greg & Rebecca Mortensen of Leesville; sisters: Inez Fye of California and Mae Sather of Minnesota; grandchildren: Miranda Welch (Jon), Aleasha Mitchell (TJ), Stephani Squires (Dennis), Corey Mortensen (Kim), Jennifer Mortensen; and thirteen great grandchildren.
