Ethel L. Evans Pollard's Obituary
Funeral services for Ethel L. Evans Pollard, 82, of Leesville, LA will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at East Leesville Baptist Church with Rev. Gil Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in the Castor Cemetery in Leesville. Visitation will be Thursday, May 13th from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home and on Friday, May 14th from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church.
Ethel, the daughter of Fred Smith and Emma Luttrell Evans was born on December 4, 1927, in Leander, LA. She passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010, at Dubuis Hospital in Alexandria, LA. Mrs. Pollard was a longtime member of East Leesville Baptist Church. She loved cooking for people and was very well known for her chicken & dumplings and hot rolls.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Ernest Pollard.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Giles & husband, Mark of Bixby, OK, & Veva Davis & husband, Dennis of Lake Charles, LA, brother, O.C. & wife, Lois Evans of Lake Charles, LA, grandchildren, Jason Marsalise & wife, Renee’, Dana Dow & husband Richard, & Ryan Wallace & wife Onusa, great grandchildren, Allison Benton, Jase Marsalise, Carson Marsalise, Davis Dow, Raegan Dow, and Madeline Wallace.
