Ernest "Nick" Nichols' Obituary
Mr. Ernest “Nick” Nichols of Slagle passed away at Byrd Regional Hospital on October 14, 2009.
Born in Newport, Maine, he was a resident of Leesville since retiring from the U.S. Army where he served two tours in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He also retired from Shawson Gas Company after many years of service.
He is survived by his daughters Barbara Nichols of Leesville, LA and Andrea LaFrancis (husband, Michael) of Leesville, LA; sister Becky Thompson of Madison Maine; seven grandchildren, David Warner, Clayton “C.J.” Pollock, Samantha Prielipp, Mathew LaFrancis, Cobratty “Scooter” Pollock, Harley Kemp, and Justin LaFrancis and one great grandchild Emillie Prielipp.
He will be missed greatly.
Private family services will be set at a later date.
