Elwin LeRoy Faulk Jr.'s Obituary
Elwin LeRoy Faulk Jr. of Lake Charles, LA, passed away on August 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on December 28, 1960, Elwin was the beloved son of LeRoy and Madeline Faulk.
Elwin's life was marked by his unwavering faith in God and his deep love for his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 44 years Diane Faulk of Longville; children Brandon Faulk and wife Brittany of Moss Bluff, and Amber Arnold and husband James of Lumberton, MS; as well as grandchildren Alayna Pellerin and Zoe Arnold. His passing is mourned by brothers Billy Faulk and wife Gloria of Longville, Haywood Faulk of Georgia, brothers in law Stan Sizemore and wife Edie of Covington, VA, Wayne Slaydon of DeQuincy; along with furbabies Bailey Faulk, Jade Faulk, and Jaxon Faulk.
In addition to being an adoring husband, father, grandfather and brother - Elwin had a passion for the outdoors that knew no bounds. Whether he was duck or goose hunting or casting lines into the water while fishing – nature held a special place in his heart. His green thumb extended to gardening where he lovingly tended to his tomatoes year after year.
However, it wasn't just nature that captured Elwin's heart – but also the words within the Bible which brought him immense comfort throughout his life journey.
Elwin will be dearly missed not only by those who were fortunate enough to know him personally but also by those whose lives have been touched through knowing him from afar.
His passing has left an irreplaceable void in our hearts but we take solace in knowing that he is now reunited with loved ones who went before him including parents LeRoy and Madeline Faulk; sister Irene Fay Williams; furbaby Jake Faulk.
A visitation will be held on Saturday August 17th from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Labby Memorial Chapel in DeRidder followed by a Celebration of Life service at noon officiated by Pastor Stan Sizemore. Burial will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery under the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
Though we grieve deeply for our loss - let us remember that though Elwin may no longer walk among us physically- he will forever live on within our hearts through cherished memories made together over time spent with this remarkable man who lived such an extraordinary life filled with love for all those around him.
