Elvira Rodriguez peacefully passed away at her daughter’s home in Clarksville, Tennessee at the age of 86. Surrounded by her daughters, Graciela combed her hair as Rosario and Elvira stood by as she gently drew her last breath.
She is survived by her three sister; Epifania Garcia, Maria Hernandez, Guadalupe Meza, 10 children, and their spouses; Eleno Rodriguez Jr. (Brenda), Rosario Anderson (Robert), Consuelo Sanchez (Florencio), Graciela Brizio (Roland), Eusebio Rodriguez (Bobbie), Juan Rodriguez (Staci), Edwardo Rodriguez (Mickey), Elvira Rodriguez, Dagoberto Rodriguez (Jeanie), Natasha Rodriguez and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Eleno Rodriguez.
Born to Mauricio and Rosa Vela on December 1, 1935 in Brownsville, Texas. Elvira lead an extraordinary life as a mother and military wife. She successfully raised 10 children and will be greatly missed and forever loved. Known by all as a vibrant woman that fiercely loved God and her family.
If a mother’s love was known by her cooking, Elvira’s love was infinite. She had a knack for making something out of nothing and knew how to make each of her children feel individually special. While our family will mourn her lost, we give God the glory for sharing her with us. Mamí and Daddy together again, we rejoice and rest in knowing she is forever home. We love you Mamí.
