Elton Self's Obituary
Funeral services for Elton Self, 78, of Anacoco, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Ray Horton and Bro Virgil Osborn speaking. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery in Anacoco, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 10th from 5 pm - 9 pm at the funeral home, then Tuesday, June 11th, from 8 am until service time in the chapel.
Elton, son of William Joseph and Effie Palmer Self, was born November 21, 1934 in Anacoco. He passed away Saturday, July 8th at the Rosepine Retirement and Rehab Center.
Elton was a U S Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He laid flooring for many years.
He is survived by his daughters, Tina Jackson of Shephard, TX; Rena Johnson of Pineland, TX, Dena Montgomery of Austin, TX and Cindy Congleton of DeRidder, LA; Brother, Carl Self of DeRidder sisters, Lanee Osborn of Humble, TX, Carline Horton of Anacoco, Faye Carson of Natchitoches, LA and Wanda Deslattes of Pineville, LA eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
