Ella Mae Swain's Obituary
Graveside services for Ellie Mae Swain, 84, of Rosepine, LA, will be held at 11 A.M., Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at Holly Springs Cemetery near Fullerton, LA, with Rev. Lonie Cleveland officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Mrs. Swain passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009, in Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, LA.
Mrs. Swain was born in Pitkin, Louisiana, where she continued to live most of her life. She was a retired LPN from Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, and had also worked at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder. Ella also served briefly in the U. S. Army.
Mrs. Swain is survived by two sons, Henry Clifford Swain and wife June of Dallas, TX, and Johnny R. Swain and wife Mary of Rosepine, LA; niece, Ollie Mae Lambright of Elizabeth, LA, and nephew, James W. Mayo of Hobbs, NM; six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until 7 P.M., Monday, August 3, 2009, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
