Funeral services for Ella Lee McMullen, 93, of DeRidder, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 23, 2023 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Burial will follow in the Drakes Fork Cemetery in Cravens, Louisiana.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. ~ 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Ella Lee McMullen was born on March 12, 1930 in Taylorsville, Mississippi to her parents Arling Monroe and Ernesteen Mayfield Walley. Mrs. Ella passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in DeRidder, Louisiana.
Mrs. Ella loved to quilt, sew and garden, she has quilts all over Beauregard Parish. She worked as a cook at the School in Rosepine and at Beauregard Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arling & Ernesteen Walley; husband, Buddy McMullen; grandson, Justin Ullom and siblings, Syvada Walley, Grover Walley, Stella Williamson, Della Fisher and Delma Ray Walley.
She is survived by her son, Haze McMullen Jr. & wife, Phillis of Crowley, LA; daughters, Eva Ullom of DeRidder, LA and Christine White of DeRidder; siblings, Donald Walley & wife, JoAnn of Pineville, LA, Paul Walley & wife, Dorothy of DeRidder, LA, Luke Walley of DeRidder, LA, Ruth McKee of Bridge City, TX, Dot Price & husband, Charles of Bridge City, TX and Minnie Pillsbury of Seattle, WA; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
