Ella Pearl Legg Nolen's Obituary
Funeral services for Ella Pearl Legg Nolen, 77, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29th, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Durhl R. Davis and Rev. Lloyd Handorf, with the burial to follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Hicks, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Friday, August 28th, at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM then 8:00 am until service time Saturday in the funeral home.
Ella, the daughter of Lincoln T. and Pearlie Haymon Legg, was born January 24, 1938 in Fullerton, LA. She passed away Tuesday August 25th at her residence.
Ella was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish. She was a very active member of the Anacoco First Baptist Church, were she taught Sunday school and was a member of the WMU among other things. She also volunteered at Helping Hands Ministry for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pearlie and Lincoln Legg, husband of 54 years Arvil Nolen, sister Blanche, and brothers Ted, C.E., Donald, Lamar, Boots and Robert.
She is survived by her daughter, Geena (and husband Jim) Rosatelli of Rocklin, CA; sister, Gladys Monk of Hicks; numerous nephews and nieces, and Jasmine and Jared affectionately referred to her as “Meme”
Mrs. Nolen’s family wants to extend a special Thank You to Paula Larson, for her care and love given to their mother, and also to Compassionate Care Hospice.
