Elaine and Willard Picard's Obituary
Funeral services for Elaine Picard, 86 and Willard Picard, 81 of Dry Creek will be held Monday, November 13, 2017, at 12 pm at Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church in Kinder, with Father Keith Pellerin officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Mittie, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 12, 2017, from 5 pm until 10 am Monday morning with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Elaine, the daughter of Ambrose Phillip and Laura Thibodeaux Darce was born on November 8, 1931 in Port Arthur , Texas. She passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017, in DeRidder, LA.
She was a Eucharistic Minister and choir member. She was a cosmetologist, member of the Homemakers Club, avid fundraiser for St Judes Catholic Church, voting commissioner and was a security officer for Coushatta Casino for 15 years where she retired at the age of 80.
She is preceded in death by her brothers Buster and Bud Darce.
Willard, the son of Willie and Ada Daigle Picard was born on September 2, 1936 in Church Point, Louisiana. He passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 in DeRidder, LA.
He was a farmer, a member of Beauregard and State Cattleman’s Association. He retired from Penrod Drilling and Brown and Root Construction.
He is survived by his brother; Nolton Picard and his sister; Virgie Levergne.
Both are preceded in death by their granddaughter Patrina Martin.
They are survived by daughters; Pat Young Andrews (Joey) of Sugartown, LA and Regina Martin (Peanut) of Cole Central, LA. grandchildren; Terra Bailey(Brad) , Jodi Andrews Warren (Todd), Shana Martin, son in love, Lindsey Dunham, great grandchildren; Kailey Bailey, Karley Bailey, Jude Warren, Emery Warren, Hayes Warren, host of nieces and nephews and to many people they were Uncle Willard and Aunt Elaine.
They were good neighbors, loved to visit with their friends and family, dance to Cajun music and were very proud of their grandchildren.
