Edwin Lee Robbins' Obituary
Funeral services for Edwin Lee Robbins, of Dayton, Texas, 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Grace Baptist Church in Evans, with Rev. David Richmond officiating. The burial will follow in the Evans Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Friends may visit Thursday, July 30th from 5:00 p.m. until time of service Friday at the church.
Mr. Robbins was born on May 29, 1929 in Lee County Texas. He passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas. He served in the U. S. Army from 1955 to 1957. Mr. Robbins worked for Champion Papers for twenty years and Brazos River Authority & Gulf Coast Water Authority for nineteen years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Betty Robbins; daughter Sherry (husband, David) Walrath; son Rick (wife, Linda) Robbins & son Michael Robbins; brothers Clyde, Jim and Danny Robbins; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by daughter Sandra Rhodes and son Robert Robbins.
