I just happened to google Ed tonight to see if I could try and reconnect with him. I had the distinct privilege of serving with Ed in the Army in 1984. We went to MPI School together, and then we were "coincidently" stationed together in Bremerhaven, Germany after MPI School. Ed sure could cook. In fact, he cooked for us for eight weeks at MPI School. I have a ton of pictures to prove it. We had a short time together, but a deep and awesome relationship. May he rest in peace, and the power of the universe sure does have another awesome Angel to watch over us.
Deeply saddened by this loss. One of the finest men to wear the wings, he was the personification of steadfast and made everyone around him better by his example.
The Family of Edward Kalk;So sorry to hear of Skips passing and I have the immediate and extended family in my thoughts and prayers. We shared a great deal of memories throughout our childhood, elementary school, and high school years from football and basketball to the adolescent times we spent getting into and escaping from what we considered big trouble. Skip will always be one of my best friends and nothing will ever change that.Take care,Jim Hedrington
Thank you for your service I didn't know you or any of the family and others that were mentioned you fought the good fight done the right thing raised your family. You jumped out of perfectly fine airplanes some called us nuts we called ourselves airborne MP's and their are only two Companies of us so at ease solder you are officially retired and at peace.
had some crazy cop rides with ol' Ed back in the day on Madeline Island.
thought I did this once, but don't see it, so will say again that ol' Ed and I had some interesting cop patrols on Madeline Island back in the day. Him going on to the military career was kind of a surprise, but guess it was the next best step in life for him, as it looks like he did well.
