Edward Michael Keuten's Obituary
Edward Michael “Mike” Keuten passed away surrounded by family.
He was married to his wife, Poonpol Keuten, for 54 years. Their life together was centered on family, faith, and a shared devotion to the people and community around them.
Mike served in the United States Army after being drafted in March 1971. He was assigned as a Military Police officer in Thailand during the Vietnam War and continued his military career for 30 years, retiring as a Command Sergeant Major. He was highly respected for his leadership, discipline, and dedication throughout his service.
Following his military career, Mike remained actively involved in his church and community, where he volunteered regularly. He was someone others could depend on, always willing to offer his time and help where it was needed. He often spoke with service members and veterans he encountered, relating to them through shared experience and mutual respect. He was known for his kindness and for the way he treated others with respect and consideration.
Mike was always there for his family. He loved them deeply and without hesitation, and he was always ready to help whenever he was needed. His family knew they could rely on him, and he showed that again and again through his actions.
He is survived by his wife, Poonpol Keuten; his son, Edward Michael Keuten Jr.; his daughter in law, Dana Keuten; and his grandchildren, Emilee Keuten and Kayla Keuten. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles Keuten, John Keuten, and Robert Keuten. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Keuten.
Mike will be remembered for his thoughtfulness, generosity, and the way he consistently showed up for the people in his life.
