Edna Marie Wiltz Benoit's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Edna Marie (Wiltz) Benoit announces her passing after battling pancreatic cancer. Edna was a Child of God, a faithful Catholic and is now at his side. She was born August 13, 1948 in Lafayette, LA. She was raised in Parks, LA. Her and her husband raised their children in New Iberia, LA .and made Leesville, LA their home.
Clifton was born a premmie on July 28, 16 days later on August 13, Edna pinned him at the exact same hospital. Even though they parted ways, Cliffton was raised in New Iberia and Edna was raised in Parks, their paths crossed 17 years later at Slicks and they have been together ever since. This year, on June 22nd her and Clifton celebrated their 50th anniversary.
In death, as in life, Edna will be honored and celebrated for her accomplishments. She is part of the 1967 graduating class of Breaux Bridge High. Edna is survived by her 4 siblings, Stanley Wiltz, Earline Dupuy, Louise Fahd, Hazel Dauphine, husband, Clifton Joseph Benoit, 6 children, Charlotte, Terry, Christy, Christine, Aaron and Sean, 12 grandchildren, Michelle, Ravyn, Michael, McKenzie, Colby, Samantha, Mia, Tatum, Aurora, Sean Jr., Kaylee Ariella and 2 great grand-children, Ramzey and Rose.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Wiltz and Rose Melancon Wiltz and 4 siblings, Harry Lee Wiltz, Clarence Joseph Wiltz, Francis Wiltz, Suzanne Wiltz.

Please join her family in celebration for visitation Thursday, September 6 2018 from 4 PM – 9 PM with a Rosary to be held at 6 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, September 7, 2018 at 10 AM at Saint Michaels The Archangel Catholic Church, burial will follow at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, Louisiana.
Serving as Pallbears will be Michael Guidry, Terry Benoit, Aaron Benoit, Sean Benoit, Harry Hoyt, Paul Guidry.
