Funeral services for Earline Rider,80, of Dry Creek, will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 20, 2023 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the Dry Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, May 19, 2023 from 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M and on May 20th from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
Earline was born on July 7, 1942 in Crowley, Louisiana to her parents, Frank and Helen Gautreaux Tweedel. She passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 in Dry Creek, Louisiana.
Earline was a loving mother and would do anything for her children. She loved working in her garden and her yard. Some of her hobbies included watching Chris Stapleton and collecting chicken figurines. Mrs. Rider was a school teacher for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Helen Tweedel; husband, James Rider Sr.; son, Mike Rider; brother, Lionel Tweedel and sister, Juanita Fontenot.
Left to cherish her memory is her sons, James Rider, Jr. of North Carolina, Steven Rider & wife, Tori of Dry Creek, and Shannon Rider of Dry Creek; brothers, Charles Tweedel of Eunice, Frank “Butch” Tweedel & wife, Joy of Turkey Creek, and Kenny Tweedel & wife, Mary of Eunice; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
