Earlean Weeks Hall's Obituary
Funeral services for Earlean Weeks Hall, 86, of Simpson, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2015, at Simpson Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Blocker officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 5, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, February 6 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Earlean, the daughter of Earl and Daisy Blackwell Weeks, was born August 18, 1928, in Leesville, LA. She passed away at her residence in Simpson, Tuesday, February 3, 2015.
Mrs. Hall was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish. She retired in 1987 as a music teacher. After her father’s passing in 1959, she followed him as Director of Music at Simpson Baptist Church and served in that capacity for 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.R. Hall; son, Gary Hall; siblings, Jerry Weeks Boswell & Steve Weeks; nephew, Jay Weeks and niece, Kayla Ivey.
She is survived by her son, Don Hall & wife, Jaree of Nashville, AR; daughter, Esta Trahan & husband, Al of Pineville, LA; daughter-in-law, Debbie Hall of Longview, TX; sisters, Betty Weeks of Simpson & Gloria Dean Ivey of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Joyce Weeks of Simpson, LA; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
