EARL JOSEY's Obituary
Funeral services for Norman Earl Josey, 68, of Anacoco will be Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 10:30am in the Good Hope Baptist Church in Anacoco with Bro. E. J. Dantin and Bro Thomas Harrelson officiating. The burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 pm Thursday, July 26th until service time in the church Saturday, July 28th. The services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Earl passed away Tuesday, July 24th at the M D Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born in Anacoco, LA. Earl graduated from Anacoco High School in 1957, was a US Army Veteran and a 32-degree Mason and a member of the C. A. Fortner No. 1304 Masonic Chapter in Channelview, TX. He was a Assistant Project Manager in the Oil Field Industry of which he worked overseas for more than 24 years and he loved playing music with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jeff and Myrtie Lee Josey, brothers R. J. Josey, Peck Josey and sister, Gladys Elwanda Josey.
Earl is survived by his children; RaeAnn (husband, Mike) Dowden and Connie (husband Gus) Williams both of Anacoco also Ty (wife Sherry) Keimig of Webster, TX and Donna Keimig of LaMarque, TX; Brothers, Tommy Josey of Anacoco and Mickey Josey of Baytown, TX; Sister, Sharon Neely of Anacoco; Grandchildren, Wesley Dannelley, Cory Dannelley, Josie Hansard, Kory Keimig and Mary Marie Keimig; Special Family Friend, Connie Ziegelmeryer of LaMarque, TX and Numerous Nephews and Nieces.
The family requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Louisiana Lymphoma Society - 3636 South I-10 Service Road - Suite 304 - Metairie, LA, 70001
