Duffie G.C. Moore Jr.'s Obituary
Duffie G.C. Moore Jr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on July 18, 1951, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, he was the son of Duffie G.C. Moore Sr. and Bonnie Ruth Morris. He lived a life rich in love and service, marked by his unwavering devotion to his family and his country.
Duffie was a man of deep loyalty, known for his exceptional role as a grandfather, and his kindhearted demeanor touched the lives of many.
He proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Army, a commitment that reflected his strong sense of duty and honor. During his service time he received the Army Achievement Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Professional Development Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Driver and Mechanic Badge and Expert Marksmanship. After his military service, Duffie utilized his mechanical skills as a mechanic.
In his personal life, Duffie was married to the love of his life, Kathy Moore, for an incredible 54 years. Their bond was a testament to the strength of their love and partnership.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Moore of Leesville, LA; daughter, Katrina Moore of Alvin, Texas; son, Jerrme Moore (Donna) of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Lois LeBleu (Lawrence) of Leesville, LA; daughter, Sarbrina Tipper (Jean Rougeou) of New Llano, LA; sisters; Ann Thresher of Hot Springs, AR and Sue Robbins of Hot Springs, AR; son-in-law, Bob Moore.
Duffie was proud of his nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, each a source of immense joy and pride. He cherished every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Preceding him in death were his father, Duffie G.C. Moore Sr.; his mother, Bonnie Vince; his sister, Sandra Moore; his son-in-law, James Tipper; and his grandson, Christopher Gifford.
His presence will be greatly missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, November 14th. Visitation will continue after the memorial service until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
