Dovie Ethel Watson, 80, entered peacefully into rest on Friday, May 15, 2020 at her home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Dovie was born to Lonnie and Julie (Bailey) Woodard on April 19, 1940, in DeRidder, Louisiana.
Visitation will begin Friday, May 22, 2020, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 23, 2020, Visitation will start at 10:00 AM and service will begin at 11:00 AM, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home chapel in DeRidder, LA with Rev. Ricky Wead officiating. Interment will follow at Whitaker Cemetery, DeRidder, LA.
Dovie was a native of DeRidder and lived most of her life here.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kenneth Watson of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Gloria Marcello and husband Raymond; grandchildren, Susan Schaffer and husband Billy of DeRidder, LA, Donna Miers of DeRidder, LA; great grandchildren, Gabriel Marcello, Andrew Miers, Ericka Hutto and Cailie Hutto; and sister, Eddie A. Cooley of DeRidder, LA.
Preceded in death by two of her sons, Tim Watson and Donnie Watson.
