Douglas Ray Wilson's Obituary
Funeral services for Douglas Ray Wilson, 76, of Leesville, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 3, 2023 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville with Bro. Jason Nolde officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be Friday, June 2, 2023, from 5:00 P.M– 9:00 P.M in the funeral home.
Doug was born on June 3, 1946, to his parents James Woodrow and Delma Wilson. He passed away on May 31, 2023, in his home in Leesville.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved fishing, hunting and telling big hunting tales. His passion was his hogs and cows, but his prized possession was his grandkids.
Doug was preceded in death by parents, brother; James (Jimmy) A. Wilson
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Lynette Wilson of Leesville, son; Curtis Ray Wilson (Maxine) of Leesville, daughter; Lisa L. Grimes (Wesley) of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, sisters; Shirley Morris (Malcolm) of Leesville, Arlene Pawlak of New Llano, eight grandchildren; Chance Wilson, Amber Gomez, Aaron Gomez (Kim), Gage Grimes (Megan), Gavin Grimes ( Alexis), Greyson Grimes, Gabriel Grimes, Grace Grimes, five great grandchildren; Breiona Vargas, Aishlyne Gomez, Arain Gomez, Ayven Gomez, Mallory Grimes.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Greyson Grimes, Gabriel Grimes Aaron Gomez, Gavin Grimes, Gage Grimes, Allen Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers are David Brister, Blaine Brister, Randy Kay, Charlie Martin, Marvin Cryer, Ricky Dougherty and Ray Stephens.
