Douglas Arthur Howell, affectionately known as Art, was born on December 22, 1942 in Grundy, Virginia to his parents, Joe & Caroline Bradford Howell. He passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Alexandria.
Art is preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Dixie Byrd, Nadine Hudgins, Ella Schaffer, brothers; Prentice “J.R.” Stanley, Masel Howell, Roy Howell, Charles Howell.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Earlene Howell of Anacoco, LA., son; Randy Howell of Leesville, LA., daughter; Tanya Craig of DeRidder, LA., grandson; Cameron Craig of DeRidder, LA., brother; Eugene Howell and his wife Jackie of Granite Falls, NC., sister; Susan Lewis of Columbia, SC., and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private service with full Military Honors at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
