Dorothy Self's Obituary
Dorothy Self, 91, of Hornbeck passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 in Leesville. Mrs. Self was born on September 17, 1929 in Anacoco to her parents, Lee McConathy and Pearlia Martin McConathy
Ms. Dorothy loved her family, and her church. She was an avid LSU fan, and enjoyed going RV'ing and taking care of her beloved dog Bubba. After retirement from the Vernon Parish Police Jury she devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother until she passed away at the age of 99.
She is preceded in death by her husband John Hyman Self, sisters LaMurl McConathy Burns and Elizabeth McConathy Hicks.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter & son in law: Debbie and Carlos Arrambide; Grandson & granddaughter in-law; Jason and Cristalle Arrambide; Four Great grandchildren: Dreux, Avery, Dylan, and Abbey; neice: Sheila Langton; and brother- in- law: Brucell Burns.

Due to Covid only close family members will be invited to the grave side service, however, it will be available for viewing live on the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Facebook page on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 12:00 P.M.
