Funeral services for Dorothy Werner Hollis, 87, of Leesville will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 3rd at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev. Craig Forque and Rev. Wallace Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday, October 2nd from 5pm until 9pm and on Saturday, October 3rd from 9 am until service time in the funeral home. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, Louisiana.
Dorothy, the daughter of the late Charles & Minnie Spillers Westmoreland was born March 20, 1922 in Leesville, LA. She passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 in Conroe, TX. She formerly worked at the Vernon Parish Health Unit as a receptionist and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leesville.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Rev. George Louis Werner;her second husband Giles Hollis and daughter & son-n-law Carol & Johnny Castro.
She is survived by her sons Larry (wife, Doris) Werner of Leesville, LA and Ron (wife, Antje) Werner of Montgomery, TX; sister Vera Nell (husband, Ira) Craft of Leesville, LA; six grandchildren, Susan, Jo Ann, Teri, Tanya, Debbie,Tammy, Lisa, Leslie, & Shanna;ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
