Doris D. Self's Obituary
Doris D. Self entered peacefully into rest on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 5 days, at the Rosepine Nursing home. Doris was born on Monday, April 18, 1938 in Lake Charles, LA to Delford Deason and Inez Gill Deason.
Memorial service is pending and has been entrusted to the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Doris loved her church family of Lone Star Baptist Church and she loved to crochet beautiful Afghans and would give to people as gifts.
Left to cherish her memory are her Survived by Son Nolen Weldon (Kim) of Pitkin, La; Daughter Judy Weldon of Pitkin, La; Two Grandsons Randy Thibodeaux of New Orleans La, Cade Weldon (Breanna) of Longville La; Two Great Granddaughters Blake and Palmer Weldon; One sister Dorothy Weldon of Branson MO. Special Niece Debbie Welch.
Preceded in death by her parents Delford Deason and Inez Gill Deason; her husband Charlie Self, and grandson Jody Weldon.
