Doris Jean Evans' Obituary
Doris Jean Evans was born on June 16, 1932 in Evans, Louisiana to Elmer Evans and Essie Rebecca Jarrell Evans. She passed away on March 31, 2025 in West Monroe, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Essie Evans; husband, J. O. Riley; sons, Darrell Riley and Jasper “Jay” Riley; brother, Kimble Evans and sister, Betty Joe Droutz.
She is survived by her son, Darwin Riley and wife Becky of Evans, LA; daughter, Becky Rawls and husband Sam of West Monroe, LA; sister, Janis Davis of Evans, LA; 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Evans Congregational Methodist Church in Evans, LA with Bro. Donnie Paul Lewing officiating. Burial will follow in the Evans Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6th from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at the church.
