Dora Caneno Schoenfeld's Obituary
A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, August 6, 2016, for Dora C. Schoenfeld, 101 years, of Rosepine, LA, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in DeRidder, LA, with Father Jude Brunnert officiating. Burial will follow at 4 PM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Garden Mausoleum in White Castle, LA. Visitation will be held Friday, August 5, 2016, from 5 PM until 9 PM at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder with a rosary at 6 PM. Mrs. Schoenfeld passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in her residence in Rosepine, LA.
Born on September 18, 1914, in St. Gabriel, LA to Charles Andreas and Paola Solito Caneno, she lived most of her life in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, reading and watching classic movies. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in DeRidder. Her family requests that donations be made in her name to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in DeRidder.
She is survived by three daughters; Paula Porter of Schriever, LA, Aurora Baca of Spring, TX and Angela Schoenfeld, DVM of Rosepine, LA; eight grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dr. Lawrence D. Schoenfeld, two sisters and six brothers. Words of comfort may be expressed to the family at www.labbymemorial.com.
