Donna Gayle Rice, 63, of DeRidder, Louisiana, entered into rest on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Donna, the daughter of Reuben and Vinita Pearl Poindexter Parten was born on December 04, 1955 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 01, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, Louisiana. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will begin at 6:00 PM following the visitation in the Chapel. Cremation is being entrusted to the care of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, Louisiana.
Donna was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She worked in the retail industry at Wal-Mart with 35 years of service to the store.
Left to cherish Donna’s memory is her loving husband, John T. Rice of DeRidder, LA.; three daughters, Andrea Barkley and husband Benjamin of Sweetwater, Texas, Regan Blais and husband Greg of Rosepine, Louisiana and Savannah Glaze of DeRidder, Louisiana.; her mother, Vinita Parten of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; one brother, Steven Parten of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Kathleen Barkley, Kelsie Thompson, Tyler Williamson, Miranda Glaze, Mma Glaze, Alayah Miller, Marlee Blais and Maycee Blais; one great granddaughter, Adalae Rangel.
Preceded in death by her father Reuben Parten.
