Donald D. Legg's Obituary
Funeral services for Donald D. Legg, 78, of Shreveport, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with Rev. Millard Monk officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Hicks, LA, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm - 9 pm, Friday, June 24th and on Saturday, June 25th from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
Donald, the son of Lincoln and Pearlie Haymon Legg was born on August 22, 1932, in Fullerton, Louisiana. He passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Legg was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He lived in Shreveport for 50 years and worked for Brewster’s Machine Shop. He was a member at Cedar Grove Masonic Lodge unit 403 in Shreveport and he loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ted, C.E., Lamar, & Vernon “Boots” Legg and sister, Blanche L. Hayman.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Oouida Legg; daughter, Donna Bishop & husband Mike and granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Panaia, all of Shreveport, LA; brother, Robert Legg of Newton, TX; sisters, Ella Nolen of Leesville and Gladys Monk of Hicks and a host of nieces & nephews.
