Dicey Ann Jackson's Obituary
Funeral services for Dicey Ann Jackson, 79, of Simpson, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Simpson Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Blocker officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery in Simpson, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Friday, December 28th and then December 29th, from 9:00 am until service time in the church.
Dicey Ann Hodges, born in Rapides Parish, to McDuffy and Susie Anna Hodges on September 8, 1933, she passed away Tuesday, December 25th at her residence. She married J. Beldon Jackson in 1950, they were married 47 ½ years.
She was a member of the Simpson Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Beldon Jackson; son, Mark L. Jackson; his parents; two brothers, Melvin Hodges and Howard Hodges, four sisters, Dorothy Knight, Avis Pleasant, Blanche Randall and Ina Mae Bennett.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are two sons, Wade and Diane Jackson of Simpson, LA, Curtis and Terrie Jackson of Helena, AL; Daughter-n-Law, Karen G. Jackson of Simpson, LA; sisters, Margie Avery of Roanoake, AL and Zoa and Ralph Ballio of Houston, TX; 6 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 1 great grandson and 5 step grandchildren.
