Dewey H. Temple's Obituary
Funeral services for Dewey H. Temple, 80, of Hornbeck, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hornbeck with Rev. Buddy Freeman and Rev. James Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until time of service Sunday, December 13th, at the church.
Dewey, the son of Aubrey and Velma Morison Temple, was born February 8, 1935, in Anacoco, LA. He passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015, in Alexandria, LA
Dewey started off working as a truck driver for Piggly Wiggly, and then he went to work in the logging business as owner and operator of Temple Trucking. He loved fishing, driving trucks and logging. He was a devoted Christian who loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Loretta Temple; sons, Dannie Temple and Dewey Temple, Jr., and brother, Aubrey Temple, Jr.
He is survived by his son, Dickey Temple (Donnis) of Hornbeck, LA; ten grandchildren, Kandie Beasley (Luke), Tonya Hickman (Scotty), Danielle Calhoun (Jesse), Bobby Coleman, Buster Temple, Dannie Temple, Jr., Lacey Sandel, Carrie Brown (Joey), Wendy Battaglia (Scott) and Brentley Terrell (Catherine); twenty five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
