Delores Harper Collins' Obituary
Delores was born June 12, 1930, to Mary Louise Thomas and James Franklin Kittrell in Quitman, Mississippi. She passed away Friday, March 9, 2018, in Rosepine, Louisiana.
She lived most of her life in the Dry Creek, Louisiana area. She was a member of Smyrna Baptish Church and formerly a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Formerly worked as a stocking clerk at West Brothers warehouse but spent most of her life as a homemaker. She loved playing the piano and played at her church and enjoyed singing. She also enjoyed quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Kittrell; first husband J. P. Harper; daughter, Laura Louise Harper; son, Ernest James Harper; second husband, Garnie Collins.
She is survived by her two sons, Albert Franklin Harper and wife, Charlene of Dry Creek, LA, Jerry Wayne Harper of Sugartown, LA; one brother, Wayne B. Kittrell of Sugartown; step-sons, Olan Collins, Lyndon Collins, Grady Collins, step-daughters, Joan Harper and Rita Cooley. twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.
