Delcie Clark Reid's Obituary
Delcie Clark Reid, 92, of DeRidder, LA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 7, 2020 in her home surrounded by loved ones. Delcie, the daughter of Nathan Alexander and Bessie Bell (Gobbell) Clark was born on October 3, 1927, at home in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
Visitation will begin Monday, August 10, 2020, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2020, Visitation will start at 12:00 noon and service will begin at 2:00 PM, in Diamond Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA with Bro. Charlie Williams and Bro. Ted Spence, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Lewis Cemetery, DeRidder, LA.
Delcie loved everyone and she would do anything for anyone. She loved to travel. She was a lifetime caregiver; she started as a candy striper, retired as a LPN, and then served as a pink lady at Beauregard Memorial Hospital.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Eddy Reid, Regina Hawkes (Jay), Frankie Reid (Marcia), Billy Reid (Nikki), Jimmy Reid (Lisa) all of Rosepine, LA; brothers Virgil Clark (Becca), Jim Clark (Mary) all of Lawrenceburg, TN; sisters Ellen Cross of Terra Haute, IN, Edna Rienhart (Joe)of Dayton, OH, Ann Nash of Summertown, TN, Sue Lynch (John) of Etheridge, TN, Betty Mobbs (Randy) of Etheridge, TN, Linda Smith (Tony) of Lawrenceburg, TN; sixteen grandchildren, Misty, Chasity, Ashlee, Trey, Nelson, Joe Joe, Randy, Sam, Katie, William, Michael, Nathan, Emilee, Montana, Kayley, Ryan; and thirty-one great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Raymond Reid; daughter Mona Reid; grandson Dustin Reid; parents Nathan Alexander Clark and Bessie Bell (Gobbell) Clark.
Those honored to serve as pallbearer are Nelson Reid, Joe Joe Gregoire, William Reid, Michael Reid, Nathan Reid, Randy Reid, Trey Hawkes, Ryan Reid, and Sam Reid.
