Debra Lindsay Sandifer's Obituary
Debra Lindsay Sandifer entered peacefully into rest on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the age of 65 years at the Rosepine Retirement Center. Debra was born on October 10, 1957 in Beaumont, Texas to John Wilburn Lindsay and Joy Loftin Lindsay.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the Barentine Cemetery in Longville, LA. Services are under the care and direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
Debra grew up in a Navy family, the only daughter out of five children. After her father left the military, the family settled down in Longville area where she graduated from South Beauregard High School in 1975. She loved to crochet, bowl, playing piano and singing. Her passion was the Christmas season; she loved to decorate for the holiday and would play Christmas music as loud as she could.
Debra was a woman that would give to anyone in need and would never ask for anything in return. She always made sure to return the favor if someone helped her. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she will be dearly missed by her brothers and mother.
Left to cherish her memory are her son: Doyle Sandifer; daughter: Laura Sandifer; mother: Joy Lindsay; four brothers: John Wilburn Lindsay Jr., & wife Sallie, Steven “Mark” Lindsay & wife Sharon, David Lindsay & spouse Danny Parker, Samuel Lindsay; two grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father: John Wilburn Lindsay Sr.
